The 2024 Australian Koala 1oz Silver coin is minted by the Perth Mint and is limited to a mintage of 300,000 coins worldwide. This year’s coin features a detailed image showing a koala on a gum tree branch, designed by Ing Ing Jong. Also shown on the coin is the word ‘KOALA’, and details of the coin’s year-date, weight, and fineness. The Perth Mint’s ‘P125’ mintmark also features in the design.
The obverse of each coin bears the coin’s monetary denomination of 1 Dollar, and the portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorne.
