the latest addition to The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection. Along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, ten majestic Beasts sculpted in stone represent the union and royal ancestry of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. These guardians have inspired a new bullion series and the fourth coin in The Royal Tudor Beasts collection features the Seymour Unicorn.
The Seymour Unicorn Gold Coin, meticulously crafted, is a monument to the rich history of the the Royal family and British Monarchy.
The Seymour Unicorn takes front stage in this coin’s design by the renowned David Lawrence. This legendary creature, which represents purity and fertility, was a loving gift from King Henry VIII to Jane Seymour. It wears a majestic coronet ornamented with daisies and roses and has the body of a horse, the tail of a lion, goat-like hooves and beard, and a spiralled horn. The unicorn proudly displays the Seymour family’s 6-quartered shield as well as a gold collar and chain, indicating British ancestry and British heritage.
The 2024 Seymour Unicorn Gold Coin is a true work of art. It contains 1/4 troy ounce of 999.9 pure gold and is struck to The Royal Mint’s bullion standard, ensuring its exceptional quality. The reverse of the coin features a chain mail surface animation background texture, enhancing security against counterfeiting.
Martin Jennings drew the official coinage portrait of the British Monarch, His Majesty King Charles III, on the obverse, symbolising British heritage. This coin also provides tax breaks, such as Capital Gains Tax exemption and VAT exemption.
